The long-awaited Frankel (GB) fever arrived at last in Deauville Sunday when a pair by the freshman sire sold moments apart for €750,000 and €1.15 million. The first through the ring was lot 125, a granddaughter of Italian champion Saganeca (Sagace) who sold to Tony Nerses on behalf of Blue Diamond Farm for €750,000. Two lots later lot 127, a filly who is a half-sister to the dam of Chicquita (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}), became the second lot of the evening to break the €1 million barrier when selling to agent Charlie Gordon-Watson for €1.15 million. Both lots were consigned by Ecurie des Monceaux.
